My name is Miguel Perez, and I’ve been into design for over five years now. I’ve always been drawn to anything design-related, and university really helped me level up my skills and start applying them to real-world work.
I first got into graphic design back in high school through art classes, where I started building my portfolio. Since then, I’ve grown into UI/UX design during my time at MacEwan University, learning how to design better experiences and not just visuals.
Lately, I’ve been working with real clients and getting hands-on experience building websites and collaborating with different teams. I’m currently a Junior UI/UX Designer at Lucid Rain Studios, where I work on designing interfaces and experiences for their game projects alongside developers and other creatives. It’s been a great way to improve how I work in teams and get faster with my design process.
Outside of design, I like to travel, especially to Vancouver, and I’m always down for concerts when I can go. Recently, I’ve also been obsessed with collecting these cute little glow-in-the-dark figurines called Smiskis!
